Maelstrom

Sometimes in life things may catch you out
When you’re feeling strong and there’s no room
to doubt,
You think you’re destined to settle there,
And it throws you a loop and you know not
where
In the world your family are meant to be
But just hold on and in time you’ll see
That another place has been chosen now
And you’ll get there eventually – though
you know not how
Or when, or where in the world you’ll land
It seems fate has dealt you another hand
If you think of life as a game of cards
Where you win or lose – and to lose
is hard.
When fate deals you a sudden unexpected
blow,
Keep your eyes on the road ahead and know
That while life presently is tumultuous with how,
it’s twisted and turned
If you just keep the faith and in each lesson learned
Know you’re stronger and more equipped to
deal
With the bumps in the road and know no matter how
you feel
Right now, be glad that your family’s a tight little ship
And that soon you’ll have found calmer waters –
and this unexpected trip,
May well have taken a difficult and circuitous
route,
Where the sights and the sounds may not always suit
Maybe it’s the voyage you might never have sailed
And some choppy seas are to be prevailed,
But you and your strong and happy little crew of four,
Will discover things about yourselves you never
knew before,
When you reach the destination that’s in store,
in time
You’ll regain that equilibrium and life again will rhyme.
In the meantime trust a greater force propelling you on
And hold onto these memories when stormy seas have
gone.
When you’ve sailed into safe harbour and have started
life anew
What an interesting life you’ve led and how you’ve
made it through!!
